The story of PRAASAM began with a dream — and a deep love for sarees that traces back to my childhood.
As a little girl, I would drape my mother’s sarees and play teacher or mother, feeling graceful and grown-up. Every time she opened her old Godrej almirah, my eyes would sparkle with excitement. Among them was one saree I loved the most — a stunning peacock green drape that instantly captured my heart. It wasn’t just fabric; it was a promise and a piece of love that stayed with me forever.
Years later, as a working woman, I often struggled to find sarees that were elegant yet practical for daily office wear. Most were either too festive or too plain, missing that balance of comfort, confidence, and class.
That’s when I decided to turn my childhood love into a purpose — and PRAASAM was born. A brand created for women who carry tradition into their workplaces, who want their sarees to reflect grace, strength, and individuality.
