Brand Persona Story

Sowmya, the founder of PRAASAM started this apparel brand with lot of excitement.

My passion for sarees began in my childhood, draping my mother’s sarees while pretending to be a teacher or a mother myself. Whenever she opened her Godrej almirah, my eyes would light up with excitement at the sight of her beautiful collection. I would ask her about each saree’s story—when it was bought, who gifted it, and the memories it held.

Among them, one saree stood out—an exquisite peacock green drape that instantly stole my heart. I would often plead with her to give it to me, and she would smile and say, “When you grow up, this will be yours.” That saree was not just fabric; it was a promise, a treasure, and a piece of love woven into my life.

This deep-rooted bond with sarees is what inspires my brand today—celebrating tradition, elegance, and the timeless stories each saree carries.
